Refund Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Prabhudarshan subscriptions are billed monthly via Razorpay. We want you to feel good about your subscription — here's how refunds work.

Subscriptions

If you are within the first 7 days of your first billing cycle and haven't used premium features (screensaver, ad-free aarti), email support@prabhudarshan.live and we will refund the charge in full.

Outside the 7-day window, we don't pro-rate refunds, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. Your premium benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Donations and seva pool contributions

Donations made to the Global Seva Pool or to specific temples are non-refundable, since funds may have already been disbursed. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 48 hours and we'll investigate on a case-by-case basis.

Puja bookings — cancellation by you

A pandit’s time and the muhurat itself are reserved on your behalf as soon as you book, so what comes back depends on how close to the muhurat you cancel. These tiers are shown to you in the app before you confirm a cancellation, and the figure shown there is the one that applies:

  • More than 48 hours before the muhurat — 100% refund.
  • Between 24 and 48 hours before — 75% refund.
  • Between 6 and 24 hours before — 50% refund.
  • Within 6 hours of the muhurat — no refund, as the pandit and the slot are by then committed.

Percentages are of the gross amount you paid, including the platform fee. You may instead reschedule a booking up to two times, free of charge, provided you do so more than 24 hours before the muhurat.

Puja bookings — cancellation by us

If we cannot staff your puja, or a pandit withdraws and we cannot replace them, we cancel the booking and you are owed the full amount with no cancellation fee. The same applies if a technical failure on our side prevents a live or online puja from being performed at all.

If we cannot reach you

Some pujas cannot proceed without your sankalp details or your presence at the appointed time. If we cannot reach you on the contact details you gave us, despite repeated recorded attempts, we will normally place the booking on hold and offer to reschedule it at no extra charge.

Where the pandit has already attended, travelled or reserved the muhurat and the ritual could not be completed for reasons attributable to you, we may retain the amount needed to cover that time and cost and refund any balance. We will tell you what we have applied and why. If you disagree, write to us — see the grievance route below. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are reviewed and issued by our team, not raised automatically when a booking is cancelled. This is deliberate: it means a person checks each one. In practice a refund is raised within a few working days of cancellation, and then takes your bank’s usual 5–7 working days to settle. Refunds always go back to the original payment method.

How to request a refund

  • Email support@prabhudarshan.live from the address on your account.
  • Include the order ID or transaction reference.
  • We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds settle to the original payment method in 5–7 business days.

Grievance redressal

If you are not satisfied with how a refund has been handled, write to support@prabhudarshan.live with your booking id and we will review it. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and to resolve within 30 days, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
